How we work, in plain words.

These terms

These terms cover this website and how Domus Design Studio projects work. Every project also has a signed project agreement; if the two ever differ, the signed agreement wins.

Prices

Our prices are the same for everyone. The Starter Website price is public; every other price is shown to members with a free account. Prices exclude applicable taxes, which are shown as their own line. Sharing a budget is optional and never changes a price. Custom work not on our price list is quoted by email.

Payments

You pay 30% to start, 40% when you approve the design, and 30% at launch. Each payment follows an approval. Payments are not refundable.

Third-party costs, such as app store fees, payment processor fees or paid plugins, are paid to those providers directly or billed at cost with your approval.

Timelines and replies

Every package has a delivery date we promise. We reply to your messages within 24 hours, and to keep your date we ask the same of you, Monday to Friday. When replies take longer, we add the time we waited to your timeline.

If a project goes quiet, we send reminders. Long silences pause the project, and restarting it can carry a fee, as shown on our pricing page.

Revisions

Each package includes a set number of revision rounds (the Mobile App includes 10 revisions). Extra revisions are priced per change at the rate on our pricing page and added to your next payment.

What you own

Once your project is paid in full, you own the code we wrote for you, your brand manual and the original design files. You keep 100% of the code.

Care after launch

Care is optional. Choose a plan and we keep your site online, safe and up to date, or take it anywhere you like: once it's paid in full, your site is fully transferable and we'll help you move it. Plans renew automatically and can be changed or cancelled with 30 days' notice. Unused edit time doesn't roll over.

Partnerships

Partnership projects follow their own written agreement, signed before any work begins.
